About the Project
Filipinos of Hong Kong is a project by Denica del Rosario, a BA in Multimedia Studies senior from the University of the Philippines Open University. It aims to document the unique experiences of fellow Filipinos who have made—or are currently trying to make—their home in Hong Kong, with the ultimate goal of spreading awareness about what it’s like to be a Filipino living in the region.
Through the online visual catalogue, they hope to form a virtual community of not only Filipinos but as well as other ethnic minorities residing in Hong Kong wherein these people can feel seen, heard, appreciated, and validated, promoting a sense of belonging and solidarity amidst diversity.
